ALLEYCAT POTTERY

Hand sculpted birds in clay. Suzanne was taught the art of pottery by her parents who were amongst the first professional potters in New Zealand. She has been potting for over 40 years and still gets excited everytime she opens her kiln following a firing. Suzanne's pottery includes birds, creatures and seashells for the garden and domestic ware for food. Most of her work is started on the pottery wheel and it is all totally handmade with every piece having its own character. The range of clays, techniques and colours seem to be endless and developing these to her pottery are the challenges Suzanne enjoys.
