Brian’s introduction to art was during his youth while growing up in Southern California shaping and airbrushing surfboards. As a surfer, his art was rooted in Southern California’s Surf Culture. Since his arrival to NZ in 1999 he has continued making surfboards and creating original works of art in New Zealand. His achievement of a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 2004 has broadened his insight of thoughtful pieces that reflect the environment and social issues that form our world today. Latest works involve giving new life to waste polyester resin from the manufacturing process of fiberglassing surfboards.
